Okay there was a goof up on my part guys.  I had to switch some partners around, I sent a PM to the people who got switched and it's corrected on the first post, but here are the people switched just in case.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. I also like seeing how similar the merchandise is in most dollar stores across the country.

Unable to leave good enough alone!

There used to me more dollar stores in my area, but they're gone. I know of one good one that I plan to hit after work today. Then I can get cracking crafting! Cheesy

Well, [pat on the back] I've finished my first item. I may even do a set for myself. I had to go back to the Dollarama to grab some more stuff, don't want my swap partner to feel neglected...

Mmm.... I spent a delightful 45 minutes in the... aah.... I don't know what to call it. I don't know of any 'dollar stores' in Melbourne - I know the cheap! cheap! cheap! discounts stores. I love them. There's 3 or 4 or 5 of them in the suburb I work in - and it took me 45 mins to cull down my ideas!!

With how quickly everyone seemed to get started on this, I was starting to feel like a slacker....so I planned to go to the $ store last night, but then we were hit with a snow storm....and who wants to go out in that mess?  Shocked....hopefully I will make it there today.... Wink

I went to a dollar store last night.  It's the big one I made special plans to visit, and I'll admit I was disappointed.  Why?  Because most of their merchandise was "normal" and of pretty good quality.  Don't get me wrong--there were some odd things there.  Here I am, putting down a dollar store because it has good quality.  Only on Craftster...

(BUT, I did end up buying a pile of things.  And making a little something and starting something else as soon as I got home.  And I didn't buy any of it with specific plans in mind.  Ha.  Once again, only on Craftster!)

What is it, though, with the excessive plastic fumes when you unwrap anything from a dollar store?  Something could be made enirely of cedar, and I'd still feel like I needed to put it outside to let off a little PVC after I opened the package.  Hmm.  Maybe that's why I had such weird dreams last night.
