My friend this first but i liked her shoes so much i had to try it myself.  its simple yet effective.  you just spray bleach on ur shoes!  but don't hold the nozzle right up to your shoe.  i did that and now i have a HUGE spot of bleach Undecided  but its usually covered by my pants plus its on the inside of the shoe(not the in inside but the outside of the shoe inside   lol) anyway here they are:

and here they are again!

thanks for looking!

These are so cool!
What kind of bleach did you use? Chlorine? Did you leave it on them for long? It didn't effect the rubber I suppose?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm seriously considering to try this myself.

i used clorox bleach but u can probably use any old bleach really.  idk how long i left the bleach on.  the longer u leave it in, the whiter the splotches get so whenever it gets to the point where u like it and don't want it to get any whiter, just rinse off the shoes really well and u have ur awsome shoes!  oh and no the bleach doesn't affect the rubber or the converse sign.  oh!  and another idea is that u can cut a long strip of about 1" fabric (or a bunch of short strips and sew them together) and use that as shoelaces!

Dang, if my Converse were brown, i'd totally do that. Unfortunately, it would probably look really stupid with my pink ones.
