Often I have time available for crafting and join swaps purely for the joy of having people to make things for. Other times I look around my craft room and think "Must de-stash!" and so I swap supplies with people who can put them to good use. So I was thinking...

How about a organizing something where you can swap either your skill/time OR crafty goodies?

I see it working kinda like this:

Marmaladegirl is making --> Jess087 a coin purse
Goosie is sending --> Lizzyloo four fat quarters of quilting fabric
KimmyJ is making --> boocanada felted flower pins
aliceInwonderland is sending --> Britney06 eyelash yarn

Sounds like a good ongoing swap to me.

I would LOVE to join a swap like this, plus the sweetie would probably be grateful for me to get rid of some of my stashes.

Why do some people think being a parent is only something to do when it is convenient for you?

Would that mean that some people would send and not recieve?

Shouldn't do - I thought it'd work out so you either:
a) receive supplies in return for your craft or
b) receive something handmade in return for your supplies

I want to destash! And I'd be delighted to get other people's crafts.

So what would everyone prefer - an ongoing or regular swap?

As an ongoing swap it'd be a combo of the 'Ongoing Stuff I can Make Swap' and the 'Ongoing Craft Supply Swap'.
Person A would list supplies then Person B would claim, for example fabric and list items they'd like to craft. Person C would claim, a coinpurse for example, and list supplies. And so on.

As a regular non-ongoing swap I'd match partners up according to whether they want to send supplies or crafts.
The questionnaire would be something like:
*Craftster name:
*Real name and mailing address:
*Do you want to (a) de-stash and receive crafts or (b) craft and receive supplies?
*If you've answered (a) de-stash and receive crafts, what kind of supplies do you have to trade?
*If you've answered (b) craft and receive supplies, what kind of supplies do you want to receive?

Person A and Person B might be paired up with A sending B quilting fat quarters. The partners would discuss what B would make A in return; for example a coin purse or ipod cosy.
