a while ago there was a yarn swap where a box of yarn was shipped around and people could take out yarn they wanted and replace it with yarn they didn't want anymore.  is anyone interested in doing this again?

I'd be willing to run it, but I don't have much yarn to put in it for the beginning...  if someone else had a lot of yarn they were willing to start it off with (and would get equal amounts back), that would be great!

I was thinking about limiting it to 10 people and only for US.

so, anyone think they'd want to?

That is way cool, But I thinkit might be better instead of shipping a box to just outright ship random yarn to someone. For instance, you ship the next person 2 skiens.... that way whoever is last onthe list doens tend up with a massive box of yarn, and someone doesnt take out more than there share.... Sounds good to me! Ive got some pink cotton ribbion yarn I cant seem to find a project for, and some cool metalic yarn. Id saythe only rule should be no cheap acrylic yarns should be sent for trade.

I think the reason that people did the box last time was so that people could pick out what they wanted, so that we wouldn't end up with yarn we wouldn't use.  but sending it to people could work, too.

anyone else?  I won't bother starting it if we don't have at least a few more people interested...

The original yarn swap is still going on.  You might want to check with GirlFriday to see if you can still get in on it.
