This is the first in a soon to be series of characters from Super Mario Bros 3.

I made a promise to show these little guys as soon as I had them finished, but that was months ago.  I've only had time now.  I am sooo excited with how he turned out.

I've got to apologize for the awful pictures, my camera is broken.  I am lucky it works at all.

All that being said, what are your thoughts?

I love it!

My first thought was, "Nintendo Christmas tree!"  You could turn them into ornaments.  Cheesy

That is way to freakin' cool. I am so jealous.

How big is it? It looks like it's itty-bitty... but that would be so super hard! It looks so nicly done!

Hey my 17 yr old would LOVE one of those.  After all, I just got finished making him a Mario mushroom incence burner in polymer clay.  You have inspired me to make a big mushroom pillow for his bed.  You think you could post a tute?  Thanks!

This one measures about 4 1/2 inches and it is stuffed with plastic pellets... so it has the feel of a hacky sack.

As for a tut, this is a part of a series that I am going to sell.

But I will share this:

single crochet entirely in the round.  use the general pattern for increases (sc2 in each; sc, 2scin next, sc; sc, sc, 2sc in next, sc, sc; and so on.)  That will create the base.  To make the stalk, you simply sc one in each and it create a tube.  The key is to sc in the back loop only for the first round.  When the stalk is done, attach red ans 2sc in each to start forming the mushroom.

I have faith you guys can figure it out.

This is in vain, I know someone will probably post a real pattern as soon as they figure it out.  I am okay with that.   Wink

I'd love to see pics if the pillow turns out!
