So I joined the Louisviile chapter of Freecycle. You post things you want, or things to give away. All must be free. I have recieved a lovely box full of junk jewelry, and already made one collage from it. Someone is letting me know about costume odd and ends that they thought would be good for anyone who sews.Well, I do, but by hand.Someday I'll have a machine!I was given some nice stuff for the quilt i've been saving brocade and velvet for.It seems people always have craft stuff to give away. And I managed to give away the swingset I was dreading dismantling!
It might be worth checking out your area Freecycle.

freecycle rocks! Keep your eye out, you might just get your sewingmachine from there, too Wink. I got one from it Smiley and a buttload of fabric and yarn, too

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

My beauty is not only on the surface. It goes down deep... layer after layer after layer. Yes, sir! My beauty is very thick.
