Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

I received! Well I received a note saying the package is at the muggle postoffice in town. The muggle mailbox is far too small Cheesy

I'll pick up the package after school.

I can't wait until Friday, which is when I'm meeting Dorkariffic, and we'll exchange our stuff! I think she's as excited as me Cheesy

Good thing I got there before you did then Cheesy

Ok so I give the muggle note thingy to the man behind the counter and he goes and get's this huge box and I mean huge! So I said 'Oh my, I wasn't expecting anything this big' and he says 'I know.' Is the muggle man a wizard in disguise, and reading my mind?
Then I got a lot of funny looks when I fastened the box to the back of my bike.

Once I got home I emmidiately opened the package and this is what I found:
- a lovely drawing of Harry Potter chasing the golden snitch, curtesy of superhooker's son
- a kool-aid dying kit since I wrote on my swap-page that I wanna try it and a huge skein of yarn (Fishermen's wool by Lion Brand Yarn)
- Dark mark soaps and lots scull beads and beads in various shades of green
- chcolate coverd frogs and gummy frogs
- doggie sweets for my sister's dog Wagner
- a snow globe which I am afraid has sprung a leak, but nothing was damage since it was in a plastic bag. I'm going to try if I can get it open and fill it with water
- felt stars for christmas decorating
- spider lollipop which I don't know wether I dare to eat it or not
- salty stick things that are half covered with chocolate that superhooker's family makes every year, reminds me of edible broomsticks
- the last things I pulled out were a pair of fingerless mittens and a hat in Gryffindor colours, which I'm wearing right now

Here are two crappy action shots taken with my crappy webcam:

Luckily enough superhooker has promised to post pics Grin
Thank you so much for everything, you are a great swapper (Is off to craft up a few more items... Embarrassed)

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

Teeisme: The charms are shrinky dinks, aka "reducio dinks" Cheesy

shewilldieyoung: The yarn is Red Heart, Gold & Claret

Jazzybelle: That tin and pillow are awesome, I bow down to your painting skills.

superhooker: I love the fingerless mittens! What sort of shaping did you use for the thumbhole?

And here's the Hermione and Crookshanks magnets I sent to SaccharineSunshine...

I am soooo glad that you liked the stuff!  It really sucks that the snowglobe leaked.  I'm glad that I double bagged it and everything.  This is what it looked like when it left Michigan:
I forgot to take a picture of the dark mark soap, but I liked them so much that I made more...so here is dark mark soap (Trillian's are pink, there are a lot of pink skulls on her wist)

I made the hat and arms in Gryffindor colors, because she said she likes really bright colors that pop.  Here is my son modelling them:

He was really mad when I sent them away.
But Trillian also likes Ravenclaw, so I made some blue ornaments:
Do you guys see that supercute dog in Trillian's picture?  That is Wagner, and since I made my doggie some christmas doggie treats, I made a double-batch and sent some for Wagner too.  They look like little gingerbread men!
Oh! and the salty stick things are pretzels...We always make chocolate covered pretzels for our family, so I sent them along...I felt it was sort of a Weasley thing to do.  My chocolate frogs are just gummi frogs (the green and white kind) covered in chocolate.  I sent some plain ones so Trillian could see what they looked like.  With the chocolate on them they just kind of look like brown lumps.
I sent skull beads because Trillian likes Snape, and they seemed Snapey, and these green beads because they looked like magic to me. (She told me she likes making jewelry)
So, there you have it.

Hey, thanks Redmenace!  They are actually just tubes, and I made a 6 stitch/3 row buttonhole for the thumb.  Trillian knits a lot, so I didn't make thumbs on them to make sure she had good movement.

Where did this alternate soundtrack to SS come from, and how can I get my hands on a copy?

http://www.illegal-art.org/video/wizard.html

It's not *actually* illegal, that's just the name of the guy's website. It's up for download on his website, and since he's the creator, I figured that meant I could send it without copyright problems. It's only copyrighted CDs we can't send, right?

And thanks to everyone for your compliments! My roommate actually painted the tin. And the pillow. And the hoodie. We're both Harry Potter nerds, and when she saw me making HP stuff, she just had to join in the fun! After she saw how awesome it was, she signed up for Craftster, and I haven't seen her since.
