The fiance had been collecting green soda bottle caps for about a year, and once I had collected two rather large bags full, I decided it was time to do something with them.  That's when this lovely little project came to existence!

Here's a photo of the base alone so you can see cap placement.  You can also see how I'm starting to hot glue the leaves into the cup.

That's really neat! I think I need to ask my family to start saving their caps!

Thanks Meggie!

I'm actually having a fall wedding next year and have been thinking about making these for centerpieces... then just put a pillar candle in the middle.  Goodness knows I have enough bottle caps.

What a beautiful idea! I love this.  I've been saving bottle caps for so many years.  My dad and my brother save them and bring them to me in bags, so does my aunt.  I have a large tupperware bin full of them.  I was originally going to use them to make a mosaic for my art class.  I've since graduated, and the collection has grown to be quite large.  I hope one day I'll think of something as creative as this to use them for!

I love that you've reused the caps AND how easy it would be to adapt this for other seasons or occasions! You could even make napkin rings or placecard holders, along with the beautiful wreath!
