I know there has to be some used bookstores here... I'm going out of my mind because I don't have ANY of my stuff here yet (books included), but I cannot afford to buy books new, and I don't have anything that has proof of residence on it, so I cannot get a library card yet (nor do I know where the library is).  Any suggestions?

Dead Poet Books on Rainbow + Charleston is awesome. I've also had good experiences with Bestseller Books on Craig as well.

There's a ton of others, too; on some streets, it seems like every other shopping center has a used bookseller.

I don't know about used bookstores persay, but you can sit and read in any of the libraries in town even if you don't have a card. Proof of residence is a bill, if your phone has been turned on or you got your cell phone bill delivered to your address, your lease paperwork on an apartment is proof of address and finding a library isn't too hard, of you have a phone book they are listed. Quite a few, all over the valley, not all are great, but some aren't too shabby either. Good Luck with the store hunt though. I'll check back and see what anyone else has put up. OH, but if your looking for a used CD, DVD seller ZIA is great and on Eastern just south of Flamingo...

I feel like an idiot because that place is right near where I live...goes to show how much I pay attention when I'm out and about.
