I'm interested in this as well!

Yeah, I've got acrylic as well. I don't mind wearing acrylic, though, as long as it's not that Red Heart scratchy variety. I tend to buy Caron Simply Soft or baby yarn.  If one of you also doesn't mind wearing acrylic, maybe we could be paired together?!

I'm interested, but I have the same problem of a mostly acrylic stash. Could we extend it to bags as well? You can make small bags with small amounts of yarn too and I find they look OK in acrylic.

Perhaps we could come up with a list of things:  like hats, scarves, coin purses, mittens (although I'll never make another pair! lol), etc. and each person could also pick two things that they'd most like to have.  I don't like Red Heart as a scarf, but as hats, it's fine.  And the other, softer acrylics, like Simply Soft, I think are great as scarves.  Let's see what kind of list we can come up with.

I also tend to have acrylic in my yarn bag. Its cheap and cheerful ( my husband says it suits me to a T LOL )
I also have loads of oddments of fabric that would make cool hats and bags.... not gloves or mitten though  Grin
Not sure whether I'll be knitting or sewing....

I will definitely be sewing if the rules are that you have to swap QUALITY items Tongue

but if there's a swap for "send me your knotted crooked messes" then I will knit away!

Totally count me in for this swap!!

And I agree that the swap should not be limited to hats and scarves... or even to just yarn. I think fabric, felt, yarn, and any other material should be allowed.

How does this sound: Accessory Stash Buster Extravaganza swap....??  Wink

Okay--I still want to do it with folks listing the five things they would like to receive, five things they would like to make, the five colors that they have the most of in their stash, and their top five colors for themselves.  And out of those lists, we'll make two things.

When is everyone eligable for signing up?  I don't want to lose the momentum here!  I'd need to do sign-ups either before my vacation or after (gone Dec 6-13).  I'd like crafting time to go into Jan so that everyone who has to do holiday crafting won't feel pressured.  I know that I've got a lot on my plate, but I wouldn't mind doing sign-ups through the next couple weeks.  How does everyone feel about that?
