Patrick: I'll tell you a little story called "The Ugly Barnacle": Once there was a very ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everybody died. The End.

I am thrilled to see so many geeky costumes this year. Cheesy

Rogue is my very favorite superhero; I love the combination of strength and vulnerability (the no-human-contact thing gets me...), so I was excited to see this! You didn't disappoint, either; it's awesome! And great job on the hair, too.

And thanks for that corset pattern generator. I'm going to go home and make exact measurements after work; I have to try it. (I have a measuring tape with me, but if my coworkers see me heading to the bathroom with it, even on lunch break...who knows what rumors will start? LOL)

Oh, we're all ubergeeky and love all kinds of comics, but especially X-Men.  I'm so glad you enjoyed the costume!   She loved the white streaks, though they ended up a bit crunchy to get them as white as she wanted.  She normally has really frizzy hair in the front... apparently a whole can of colored hair spray is all she needs to keep it in check!

Feel free to PM me if you post pics of your corset!  I'd love to see!  It was WAY easier than I expected.  I didn't do the boning, because, well, she's 11 and it's a costume.  Also, I ended up lining it and doing a pillowcase turn then top stitching instead of doing the binding.  I really, really want to make one for myself now... maybe after all my holiday crafts are done!
