I believe the "brownish blob" is a wafer-thin piece of copper.  Nifty, huh?

Yeah, I'm big on taking a theme and some materials and just figuring out how to make something work.  I think that's why I just never really got into knitting--all those patterns, all that technique... once I figured out the basic process, I was ready to move on to something else!

And, you know, I know that in my head.  But I was so proud of teaching myself how to do it from diagrams--and then it just sort of went away.  Maybe someday I'll re-teach myself.  I think the other trouble is that it just seems to take so darn long until things take shape.  I'm not much for delayed gratification. Wink
And, anyway, being a non-knitter gives me good reason to swap with knitters!  (Yeah, like I need more reasons.)

That's TOTALLY why I don't knit!  I hate to count things off, measure and be precise, it takes ALL the fun out of it!

In other news, AmaryllisRoze rcvd her card from me today, so it will get posted shortly.

This is so much fun!  I LOVE seeing all these cards and the different ideas people have come up with.

OriginalYouth -- your card is fabulous, I wish I had just a little bit of the artist in me, I'd love to be able to draw or paint!
