Just saw the pouch--love the fabric--yeah, I leave bookmarks on all sorts of swaps and am surprised to see someone posting what they got months later!!!  I guess with so many packages we all send, there is bound to be some drama/lost packages/damages/etc.  Knock on wood and hope it does not happen often...

also love the purplish earrings--lovely color!!

Well at least now I don't feel so bad.
The first package was ripped open by the post office so all she got were the photocopies of this vintage pattern book I have - the homemade needle roll I worked so hard on, the needles I sent, the homemade stitch markers, and the book on wedding planning were all lost.
And i was leaving for France in like a few days so I just bought a book from her wists and had my mom send it but that didn't feel right so i made a shirt from her wists and got her an eiffel tower giraffe from paris when i got back but that took a month and a half... obviously.

But I was so worried about being a shoddy partner.

I know it must feel awful to lose something that you worked so hard on and were proud of, but you are right, it also feels crappy to think your partner never knew what you did and you might look like a bad swapper...but, everything balances out...

I had one bad swap that I kinda crapped out on due to some personal stuff, and I am still sending her stuff, ha ha, out of guilt and friendship!! I wonder how long I will do that--a year? ha ha

Aren't we our toughest critic?  I think it is wonderful that you guys resolved this in a mutual way!!

*Also posted in the ongoing wish swap 16 gallery for maximum exposure...*

I received the most wonderful gifts from craftykate today.
The package she made me for the ongoing wish swap 11 back in July got lost on its way over to England Cry But being the amazing lady that she is, she knitted me another gorgeous cabled vest!

Rosali - that is just gorgeous!  I am beyond jealous - it looks like it fits you perfectly and what a great color!

I am just sickened that the postal service has so many thieves that things just disappear.  I am glad that craftykate hooked you up though!

I think I might need to wist this in a bad way - oops too late.. already moving the mouse to wist it!

I am so ridiculously happy that it fits you so well! I'm also really happy that package number two made it to you. I'm getting good at making these vests. If I can make sense of my notes I think I'll write up a pattern. My notes are currently four taped together pieces of graph paper, so it may take a while. Can I steal your cute smiley picture for my blog?

Of course you can Kate (I'm planning to get an action shot for my blog when I've put on makeup and probably a green cami - after trying on the vest with everything I own this evening I've concluded I love it best with something green underneath Cheesy)
Argh I've just realised I didn't get a pic of the pretty fabrics you sent me Roll Eyes I love them too! They just got brushed aside somewhat because of my superlove for the vesty Smiley

I had forgotten about the fabric pieces too! I felt bad that this was such a long over due package. I wanted to send something extra.
