I got a beautiful cableknit clutch from Silentdementia. The inside is a great teal blue to match the great felt cube earrings I got earlier this month (see a few posts back)... I bought a great sweater to wear with the earrings this New Year's eve and now I have a beautiful clutch to match. Woo hooo! I also got a cool bracelet and some treats. MAN - I love me some foreign treats (she's in Ireland and I'm in the USA).

So blah blah... here are the pictures!

Thanks again! I love Crafster birthdays!!!

Well...I have good news and bad news. The good news is....

As a very very sweet thank you, Bhean sent me some AMAZING yarn:

(the pic doesn't even REMOTELY do it justice...I just couldn't capture the quality..so I'm showing the quantity lol).

Thank you Bhean...it will be used beautifully I hope...I plan to make a sweater and scarf for my Blythe doll from it...and any bits left over will be used as doll clothes trim. Not an inch will be wasted. HUGE Craftster hugs.

Now the bad news. In my very first swap I received a darling notebook that I use as my swap book (I love lists and notes lol). And when I went to make a note in it about the yarn.....I noticed an unmailed thank-you note in it.

oh crap...
bad feeling in the pit of my stomach..

I remembered that I had to do a hurry-and-hide-all-the-crap clean up for a surprise visit from my 3 year old nephew (and his folks obviously...he can't drive yet Tongue ) right before the holidays. I remembered putting it there and thinking I would remember it.

Well I didn't. I owe an apology to JesinTexas and especially SewingLori, the should-have-been-recipient. I am so sorry for forgetting that important step in the swap process. I will mail it immediately.

I'm so glad it got there and that you like it.  It's fair traded recycled sari silk from a women's co-op in Nepal.  I knit my mum a top with it and once in a while found bits of leaves and twigs...as I removed each one, I pictured the women and the room it was spun in and how I was pulling out tiny bits of Nepal.  Very romantic and picturesque...

Lylyfai - don't feel sorry! You sent me an amazing package and thanked me for all of the fabric and soap in the letter you sent with it. I counted that as my thanks note.

I hope you get the positive feedback you deserve because you earned every bit of it. I love love love everything you sent me and am actually wearing the earrings today. Smiley

I love the yarn and the "true confession"--ha ha!

Life does get busy and hectic and we know that in order to be this creative, we have to sacrifice a bit in organization and cleanliness!! ha ha  at least you found it!!

bhean--the yarn is simply wonderful--I have been trying to score sari yarn for months from ebay with no luck...I might have to trade my car for it, ha ha (hubby doesn't need to know...does he?)

What a wonderful story!!

That sari yarn is absolutely gorgeous!  I would love to have yarn like that some day.

I got a cool thank-you package from indieanajess. She included a wedding crafts magazine (from my own b-day wishlist) and some little...thingummies.

In case you can't tell, there are three little plastic pigs (which I think I need to use in some sort of nursery-story craft), a peanut-shaped eraser, and a figurine of a little heavily-armed elf-dude.

And she also sent a cool and cozy calorimetry.

(The button is red, and black-and-red is my favorite color combo!)

So you're welcome, indieanajess, and thank YOU! Cheesy
