So.... Today My dad, mom and me all went out to pick up the new computer we bought. Then we decided to go out for lunch. five minutes of sitting down, The waitress asks us if we had a green truck (we do), it was broken into. the window smashed, the computer stolen among many other things. My dad, obviously extremely angry because our insurance won't pay for any of it, gets mad at me for saying the shattered glass is pretty. typically me...I see potential in the shattered window of all things.

This is the car

I took chunks of glass, and made these

(just if you were wondering, it says" Bear and the potted plant", "deception" and the other says "self".)

as a necklace

Thanks for looking Smiley

(I'm not sure what that "bear and the potted plant" is all about, but it amused me)

Wow, that's a cool necklace!  And kudos to you for seeing the bright side of such an unpleasant experience!

I'm sorry about your car and compy!  That really sucks.  I think it's really cool that you made something pretty from it.

ps.  Are the edges sharp?

Thanks Smiley no, the edges are not sharp, I sanded them and applied some sealer stuff, they are nice and safe now....I think.

That sucks about your car being broken into. I feel like such a complete ditz now that I realive the crafty potential of such a situation. Last winter I shut my moms car door and the window on the passanger side shattered. I don't think I slammed it that hard, I think it was the cold. Never the less the parentals were not pleased. I should have salvaged some glass.

I would love to have more, but sadly my father didn't want me to take any of it (I had to sneak out a steal some when he was not looking). now it has been all cleaned up. Cry
