I've been dying to make my own purses, and I figured I'd be able to wrap my head around the Jordy bag tutorial because she does such a great job explaining the process with pictures Smiley  To stick with my obsession with moose - this is my moose jordy bag:

I am planning to make three more of these immediately- all with the same outer fabric and one with the same pink/purple liner fabric and the other two with blue flowery liner fabric.  Two with moose and one with a rubber duck on the front - all to be given as Christmas gifts Smiley  The fabric I got for super cheap on the "bargain bin" wall of Fabricland here in Calgary.  I used sew-in interfacing (next time I plan to use the iron-on kind) and the liner fabric is fairly silky.  I added in velcro for closure.

UPDATE 11/6: Added a matching lined zipper pouch... "Moose Tracks" based on the tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0

Thanks for looking and letting me get out my excitement *hugs*

Great job on the purse toque!!!  And your moose is absolutely adorable.  I too have made a bag from the Jordy tut - which is fabulous.  I laughed at the picture of your dog Oliver, he seems to be thinking "got any milkbones in there?"

Thanks! Cheesy  He is based on the moose plushie I made: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=129271.0 ... when I'd made the head and before I stuffed it I saw it laying flat and thought it'd be really cute on the front of a purse.. then voila! Smiley

Glad you like it!  Smiley  thanks for all of the kind comments - I'm so proud Cheesy

I think I got lucky - I browsed the bargain bin wall at the fabric store for a good 45 minutes pawing at anything that looked tweed-like until I found what I was looking for Smiley  Sometimes the remnant places or bargain walls are a craftster's paradise!  Good luck Smiley
