I's been long time since I posted. I don't know how it happened because I still visit crafster every day and I do a lot of crafty things Smiley

Those are 3  pouches from book Omiyage by Kumiko Sudo.
I made  modifications to original projects as I went along, so they don't look like in the book, I would not be myself If followed all the instructions.
I hope you will like them:

These are so pretty - and practical! The red poppy-ish one is my favorite. Nice work!

I love them so much! They're all gorgeous. My favorite is the middle one. Are there beads around the bottom?
Sniff, I wish I could sew better.

Wow!  They are gorgeous.  Where did you buy this book?  Did you hand sew most of it??

I'm so happy that you like my pouches Smiley It is so nice to read your comments I'm very grateful fore them Smiley

Marleah, Jenna rose, Doomcandy : the red one is my favorite to I'm sucker for red Smiley
krafty_kelly; You can by book at http://www.amazon.com/Omiyage-Handmade-Fabric-Japanese-Tradition/dp/0809229099 but I got if as a present so I'm not sure if this is a best place.
aliciasjoy: To make those you don't need a lot of sewing skills you just have to be VERY patient (and that is hardest part fore me). At the beginning I planed to use sewing machine but I realised quickly that hand work is the best. Sawing machine is to fast and in my hands not accurate.
And yes I embellished the center with beads so it will look more elegant.
