I was so inspired by the posts on the Tree of Life pendants I had seen on here made from the tut at http://www.beadstudio.com/info.php?a=613 that I bought some silver-plated copper wire from ebay to see if I could do them. Well, this is the first attempt! I tried an oval shape as opposed to the round - it's the shape of the handle on my 4lb club hammer Tongue - and twisted the wire to give me three roots, the number attributed to Yggdrasil, the Norse World-tree. I think I'll use more wires next time so I can have more branches but I'm really pleased with how this first one came out Smiley

The pic was done with my phone cam and is a little short on detail but it gives you the idea Smiley

*edit - that really isn't a very good pic is it? I'll try and get some better ones tomorrow Smiley *

These really do look great. I agree I like how it's a different shape instead of a circle like I made mine  Tongue ...good thinking !

I like your version without the leaves. Your trees look just like the ones outside my window - novembernaked

They look great. I love the different base shapes. The oval looks like it lends itself quite well to tree design.
