About a month ago I was looking around the Clover website and saw a really cute grey and white crocheted bag http://www.clover.co.jp/kyan/knit/2006teami/2006_live_in_clover02.shtml#british, so in the spirit of crafting I decided to give it a try.
Here is my version of the bag. It is much larger than the one in the pattern, mostly because I haul around so much stuff.

I have been using it for a few weeks so don't mind the wear. Also, The pattern called for buttons. I thought bunnies were appropriate.

I used some plain brown fabric to line it. Let me know what you think.

I'm a sucker for any type of crochet bag.  It's cute and appears to be simple enough that even I could wing it....except for the lining part.  I stink at sewing.  Love the handles! :heart

It was really simple. I didn't know how to crochet an oval before this bag and now I'm an oval fiend. Plus the body of the bag is one continuous piece, always good.

Hey, I'm new to crafster but I've been chrocheting for a little while now. I love the Brown bag you did, the one from the Clover Company, I was just wondering how you got that pattern I would love to try it.

i love your bag! and i like your colors and what you did with the stripes. i could kinda follow the pattern even though it was just a diagram and it is in japanese but i have one question.. how did you attach the handles to the bag? did you just stitch them together?

I just attached the handles with the old sewing machine. I'm sure you could do it by hand as well. I'm so happy someone else is giving the bag a try.
Aslo, SomethingCharming, click on the Adobe icon near the picture of the bag and you will be directed to a pdf pattern.
Enjoy!
