Ahh! Too many things to comment on! Shocked
I love that bird nest bowl, wow!
Bobolink, love the jewels and ATCS

Thanks for posting pictures CraftyZary. Smiley Glad you liked everything! It was fun crafting for you too. I just love the purse, I carried it with me shopping today and got many compliments!

Here is the photo I sent...not sure what kind of bird it is, but it was shot at a bird sancuary in Kentucky.

Here is another picture of the box.

What a "tweet" swap this was been.

I adore that bird bowl too!
How is it made- I can't quite figure out if it's a photo in there or a painting? Either way it looks spectacular!

Modus, your bird there looks like a Baltimore Oriole to me.  Not certain if it, but it looks like one.   Smiley  I'm loving this gallery.  So many talanted folks.  Grin

That bird looks an awful lot like the Baltimore Oriole (except lack of white on wing feathers). I hope it is and oriole because if I'm wrong I'll probably be kicked out of Maryland.

I'm actually not sure- We had baltimore orioles nesting on my property and I think the orange is more of a stripe by the wing than a breast. I can check my bird book though... if I can manage to wrest it away from Arnold Wink

Scratch that it's white on the feathers like you said, but either way it does not have the white on the head so that is a different bird not the oriole

The bowl is made from pictures she mod podged on. The inside is one picture, I'm pretty sure, and the outside is made up a bunch of different pieces of paper ripped up and layered.

That's definitely not a Baltimore Oriole.

It looks like a Snowy-headed Robin-chat

What a gorgeous box, Modus! The painting is amazing! & I also love those bird ATCs, Bobolink! There are some amazing packages on here! I'm regretting me decision not to join this swap due to Christmas crafting... *smacks head*

MotionIsPantomine,
I'm so glad you liked your tweets! I got your goodies today and will post pics tomorrow...

Here are some closer up pictures for those with inquiries about the nest bowl. The bowl is a naked wooden bowl that I handpainted with some subtle metallic paint on the interior walls (impossible to see with the picture). The bottom interior of the bowl is decoupaged with a nest image that I "transferred" with a polymer medium. The outside of the bowl is decoupaged with torn up pieces of a very nesty-looking giftwrap. The bottom (tush) part of the bowl is glued with felt.
Pics...

The necklace is 2-sided:

Here are the other items together:

Oh and the flat box is actually one of those recycled AOL promotional free trial boxes that happened to be made out of a chipboard/wood?

I'm soo enjoying this gallery...one of the best I've seen in a long while!
