I made this top out of a HUGE ugly t-shirt with a really cute pattern. I made it tighter and fitted and added a halter neck strap. I gathered it at the front too.

The skirt I made out of an old pair of jeans that were really unflattering but had really cool embroidery on the back pockets.

Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the before.

Wow, that is GREAT!  But, as a mom of a 4-year-old girl, I'm NOT looking forward to when she is 13, especially since that is TOTALLY something I would have love to have worn as 13.  Wear a jacket over it, ok?  (Man, I'm such a mom.)  I do love the jeans pocket.
