I made this dress out of a table cloth from the second hand shop. It was going to be a skirt but it was way too long so I made the waistband wider and added straps and turned it into a dress.

Here is a picture of the tablecloth

To make the dress I cut a circle in the middle and I cut up a black t-shirt as the top of it and the straps. I put iron on interfacing in the straps and I put a strip of elastic in the back too. Smiley

Here is the front

(Sorry it's a crappy photo)

Here's the back

And the action shot!

I also drew a picture of the dress

What do you think? (I'm only 13 Smiley)

Comments greatly appreciated  Cheesy

I wish I had this much talent when I was thirteen. Hell, I don't think I would see that table cloth and have such a good idea now. It's so pretty!

That is the best idea!  (And as your resident mom, I'd definately let you wear that over the denim skirt and nothing top!  Hee hee!)

I am so impressed with your recon. It's simple and symmetrical. I love it. Very, very good job. It's beautiful!
