Finished!  I love it, thanks so much for the pattern.  I am already thinking of another color combination for the next one!  Smiley

You're welcome! I'm glad you like my avatar. It's too true. I might get a stenciller on here to stencil it onto a tote or shirt.

I think I'm gonna have a go at this. I need something soft to throw over my yoga mat when I'm using it for some of the moves my belly dance instructor wants me to work on (and something soft to lay on for all the crunches she is having me do >.<) My mat is cheap and thin and not squishy like the ones at the studio. Sad

I'm gonna make it with TLC Essentials Choco Cherry, Eden Green & Light Country Rose. The colours match my bedroom where I do most of my practice and the pink & green are leftover from some tassels I made for one of my tribal hip belts.

Wish me luck on my first CAL! Smiley

I think I will join this one.  I will use Caron Simply Soft  Dark Country, Country Blue, Light Blue, and Off White.  My moms birthday is in September this would be a good gift for that.  I will post pictures of it later.

Please post pics of your work-in-progress, guys.  I would love to see the colors you both chose.  <3

Looking good craftybits!    Smiley

One question, when do you decide to change colors?  I changed mine after three rows.

thanks

actually my initial plan was to not to change color until i finish the whole skein of one color. blue one gave me 11 rows out of 1 skein (and i doubled it mind you) while brown gave me bareley 11 rows with 2 skein.. so i will go with the first plan with blue but for the brown parts i want it to be bigger so i will add 11 more rows...

Um, so how does this work?

well, after months of procrastination, i finished it:

That's my son on it, cause he has to investigate everything.

Stealing it!  Because he likes everything i make, even if it is pink.  Real men like pink, anyway.

Anyway, it went to my mom, cuz she paid for the materials. It's the perfect size for her, around 5 feet tall and maybe 2.5 wide... I didn't really measure, but it covers her head to toe. (she's tiny)

I had fun making it, a good pattern for tv watching.  My dad wants one now too, so i guess i'll have to see whats in the stash.
