ok i go over my stash and took out all the scraps i want to use up.. the colors are not that nicely contrasting to each other Undecided..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/nihalg/CRIM0186-3.jpg

i used the stripe generator in here to get an idea on the stripe sequence.. but no help there...

i am thinking that maybe i can start with black and then after every color i can go with black to tie the colors? any ideas?
Actually, you have some nice colors there.

What I usually do when I'm working with a lot of scraps (rarely but it has happened...), do what you want to do, use one color to kind of tie them all together so there's a unifying theme even though it's all different colors. If you have a lot of black, use that, if not, white, creme, ecru or off white works well too. I've used black to get a 'stained glass' effect that works really well.

Take heart, I think your afghan will look great!

Are you talking about the one that I posted pics of earlier in this thread? If so, thanks!  Cheesy My b/f loves it (even if it's started to come unraveled more than a few times  Shocked Cheesy ). I've had to go down there (he lives one state south of me...) and repair it more than a few times but he still loves that darn thing  Grin

hi! instead of going with lots of colors, i decided to go with the    turquoise and brown i was anticipating to do something with.

i started with the brown because i want it to dominate. i will keep going until i finish with turquoise and then i will add brown and so on. i have 2    turquoise and 2   brown skeins. i doubled the yarn to make it thicker so it goes faster. i really love the pattern it is very easy and grows quick.

Great color choices! Cheesy I love blue and brown together. I love your blanket. Great stitch definition.

What pattern are you using?

My WIP for this CAL.  I chose Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate and Light Country Blue.  Because of the shine of the yarn, the Light Country Blue looks more like a slate-grey.

Thanks for the pattern, it works up so easily!
