This is my first finished project post.  After many, many failed attempts to make an arm warmer that would stay put through hours of work (as a checker at the grocery store), I finally went for a shrug.  I could not be happier  Grin with the end result.  And the pink ribbons make me feel pretty too! Wink  I have only been crocheting since January and this is the first pattern I've designed on my own.

Pics should be working again! If not, email me and i'll email them to you, its not a problem!

Joining back:
Join 2 back pieces with whipstich (wrong sides facing, back loops only) along the 9th(shortest side) row, in first 6 and last 6 stitches only. This leaves an oval shaped hole in which you can weave ribbons  Grin
You could also just whipstitch them together all the way down.

Joining sleeves to back:
Whipstitch together through all loops of top of sleeve and long sides(first row) of back

Finishing:
Reverse sc along sleeve openings.  sc evenly around edge of back and along opening of upper sleeve (the ending sleeve rows that you didnt join).

I didnt like the way the back laid, so I took some ribbon and laced up the upper sleeve and tied it shut loosely.  Leaving these rows unjoined will allow you to adjust it, if necessary.

**Please keep in mind if using my pattern, that my arms are "tiny" and my shoulders are a little broad, so you may need to adjust row lengths and amounts to fit yourself! Wink  I made the pattern up as I went by slipping the arm onto my arm to size it and decide where I needed increases and how long to make them.**

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Hee hee... cute! Nice save. When a project doesn't go my way I usually cry for 15 minutes and then throw the whole damned thing in the closet. You've inspired me to really test my imagination! Yay!

That is cute!!  Do you have a pattern?  At least for the actual sleeve part?  I've been wanting to make some with sleeves that look like yours, but I couldn't find even a sweater pattern to work off of.  Really awesome!!  I like the ribbons, too.  Grin

So cute!! I love the ribbons! I have to try and make one. If you have any pattern or even vague instructions you could post, that would be great!

Do not make me beg!!!  Seriously, how did you do the sleeve part?  If you don't want to explain the attaching, that's fine.  I just want to know about the sleeves.  I would REALLY appreciate it.  Thank you!!!
