My husband wore his to three different contests and wore the mitts and head for HOURS! I however, could only last about 45 min at a time- then I would get way too hot...maybe I could rig a cooling device or something?

You can get cooling devices of that sort from places that sell Mascot costumes and the like . . . but they can get a little pricey . . .
