I made a 'hood' out of muslin and then attached it to the faux fur and stuffed it with polyfill. Then I just sewed little mitts for our hands. These things are hot when you wear them, and I felt like a real monster from all of the kids reactions to us! I've never been petted before!

i hope this helps everyone!!
I made a hood, then i created the monster head. Sew the mouth shape to the hood and head then cut inside the lines. Stuff all around the hood inside the head remembering its freakin hot and can be heavy...sew the base of the hood to the head and embellish...voila! (it took about 4 hours for the mr. and 2 for the mrs. cause i figured it out!)

I really like these, they're super cool! I like Mr. Monster's hat and Miss Monster's ears and blushy cheeks, and I have to say that matching your own clothes with the heads & mittens is brilliant too.

My husband wore his to three different contests and wore the mitts and head for HOURS! I however, could only last about 45 min at a time- then I would get way too hot...maybe I could rig a cooling device or something?
