This is the first year I actually crafted together my own costume, so I went with something I thought would be easy to make, comfy, warm, and a little odd: The Great Hoodie Octopus

It's just a huge hoodie I cut up and hand sewed into tubes stuffed with scarves and covered with little foam "suction cups" which were extracted from a foam chair pad thingie. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. =)

WOW! That's such a cute idea, and you executed it so well! The fact that it's a hoodie makes you look even more like an octopus and the little suction cups are just too cute Cheesy

I love that the bottom of the jacket makes it look like cuffs. It looks like you actually took the time to make extra jacket arms... FANTASTIC!

That is so cool!  What type of foam chair is it where you took the "suction cups" from?  It worked perfectly. =D

Condoms would've made GREAT suction cups!  If you could make them stay rolled up.  I don't know how stable the roll is.

I love this costume.  I just giggled and giggled.  It's awesome!

I'd love to see someone wearing this around on a regular basis, I've actually been half tempted to myself since the hoodie is actually pretty nice and heafty, the only problem is getting a little cold on the sides...

It was like a car seat pad, so it was flat and folded in the middle to go up the back and on the seat part. I should have taken pictures before i cut it up cause I can never explain it properly... It was a pretty lucky value village find

Hahaha. Condoms would have been REALLY good.. but a little expensive and probably a bit messy to get on there. I don't think they'd come unrolled if they were sewen on the right way. Then it could be an octocondompus... although I guess that has some.. other conontations...

(If I knew how to quote 3 different people in one post I wouldn't have made 3 seperate replies... sorry)
