All done except for the strap.  The legs are small pouches called "unas" which are commonly found on Andean bags.

WIP pictures here.

More FO pics and sparse notes here.

If you like to knit small things in the round with little or no seaming, then I can't recommend this book enough: Andean Folk Knits by Marcia Lewandowski.   The llama purse was an absolute joy to knit.

Has anyone else made anything from this book? I'd love to see the FO if so.   Smiley

EDIT: all done, with strap.

That's a lovely bag! Thanks for the book reccomendation-I will look for it. I'm a fairly new knitter but I love the unusual designs.

I've heard it both ways.

I'm looking to swap some knit &/or crocheted crafts for handmade CP/HP soap.

It looks great!  Are you going to use it?   I sure would, I love unusual purses.  I bet you'll get a ton of compliments.

You really weren't kidding when you called it a llama purse!!  I just thought it would be out of llama wool!  It's really funny.  Good job on the shaping! Cheesy

I wasn't sure how to measure it (with legs or without, with head or without) but there's some pre- and post-fulling pictures here, with a standard size DVD case.
