So I see all these awesome and delicious DIY weddings on here, who else is Jealous of them?
Come on I know I'm not the only one! When I got married I wasn't completely absorbed into DIY/Crafting as I am now. Now looking back I can see how many cool ideas I could've done with my wedding.
Don't get me wrong I LOVED my wedding! My Hubby and I still get compliments on it (3 yrs later). We didn't have traditional wedding party, also had home made (aka crappy) invitations, yummy cake made by grandparents and/or whatever else we could do to pinch pennys.
Anywho I know there are those who know what I'm talking about.
If I would've known the craftiness that I knew now how much cooler could my wedding of been and that leads me to my present state. I'm so glad my fellow craftster have a great crafty wedding but apart of me is well green to say the less (lease what's the right word!?).

I'm definitely envious of the skill of the crafters on all parts of this site, but I don't kill myself worrying about it.  Chalk it up to a lesson learned.  There are definitely things I would have done differently if I had more time, if I had more skill, if, if, if.  You and DH are married, and that is what counts.  You did what you could.

Why not channel that into a crafty anniversary party or vow renewing ceremony instead of being jealous? Or throw a super crafty shower for a new bride?

Thanks I don't know why I couldn't think of the right word!

That's a great idea batgirl. Unfortunately most of my friends are married already. I tried talking my parents into renewing their vows (they've been married for 25 years) but my Mom said it just sounded like a lot of work.

After rereading my post I guess I should have put envious instead of jealous. Jealous conjures a picture of someone sitting in the corner shooting darts at someone with their eyes. Which wasn't the picture I intended to conjure in peoples minds.

that would be such a great way to show your hubby and your friends that you love them and put your crafty energy to good use. I always seem to poop out around v-day with the crafting creativity... Tongue

it is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves, monotonous and un-renewed, it is shyness before all else.
