So, I'm a little late at posting these, but here are photos of our Mario and Princess Peach costumes.  I made all of my costume (Peach) except the gloves and the wig.  The dress was made out of basic broadcloth.  The jewelry was made out of Femo clay.  I made Mario's mushroom and hat out of polar fleece (the hat is lined with satin).  Mario's shirt and overalls were thrift store finds.  The overalls weren't the right color, so we had to dye them darker.  The yellow buttons (1/2 off at JoAnn's) were tied on with matching ribbon.  I wanted to make a bunch of 1UP mushrooms, but didn't have the time or energy to sew them.  So I made 1UP cupcakes.  They're a little sloppy, but they were yummy!

wow your costumes are fantastic! I love your dress (especially the pouffy sleeves) and mario's mushroom Smiley

also, cupcakes taste better/offer instant gratification so i think you made the right choice XD

Those costumes are awesome!  I like that you did the older Peach dress--not the newer ones.
