First off I'm completely jealous of your Vespa.  I want a green one!  And second, you bag is great.  I love how your totally customized it for your needs.  The fabric is great too.

I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.

What an awesome idea. My 2006 vespa has lots of space but my DH's 1965 vespa doesn't. He likes his messenger bag but I think your idea will be a nice little addition Grin. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks guys, I'm surprised how many folks have scooters Smiley For those of you who have a scoot (especially old ones) what kind is it? I work at a vintage scooter shop, so I'm always interested in what bikes people have.

I'm all about DIY-ing my bike, I'm also working on some wireless turn signals for it, but that's more  of a long-term project.

Adorable.

Magnets you say?

I'd be wary of that, as magnets can mess up your phone and any other electronic device. However, I'm sure you know what you're doing.

Which shop do you work at?

Could you please send me your pattern, I have been looking for something similar for my 1980 p2.  I can just adjust the sizing.

Thanks

I was going to mention this. Magnets can seriously alter the way electronics work (read: break them!), so be careful. What about industrial velcro? That stuff is pretty gnarly. You could stick one half to the scoot, and the other to the bag. Maybe?

Awesome work, I heart scooters! I'm looking into purchasing one myself... they are so amazing  Cheesy

Eveel - I work at a shop in Richmond with a large mail-order business... not gonna name names just because I like to keep work and leisure separate and Google is always watching, but it rhymes with "promo" ;-)

I dont' really have the pattern in any sendable form, but it was pretty easy to make. I used a couple peices of Legal sized paper taped together to trace the shape of the space under the legshield, first by laying the paper on the bike and tracing from behind and then by holding the paper (on some sort of sturdy backing) next to the space and tracing the curve. I guesstimated for the front peice, sewed them together, and voila!
