This scarf was like the third thing I ever... started... knitting. I ran out of yarn and more appealing projects came along and I forgot about it. But I thought enough ahead to know that I would want a scarf for this winter and so I finished it just in time Smiley

Here I am modeling...

Finally... my fall colors scarf... yay! Smiley

Yarn is Manos Del Uruaguay in #104 'Prairie'
Pattern is Knotted Openwork Scarf found here: http://www.canknit.com/free/kos.html

I don't normally comment on the knitting posts, because I was into the Knitter's Review forums for awhile way back when, but really, nice scarf! The colors and texture are lovely, and your photography is really nice too. I have a hard time getting pictures to be crisp and clear and vibrant. Ah, well.

Ok, well, the real reason I felt compelled to reply: where did you get your lovely orange coat?? I have been looking everywhere for a nice bright, fitted winter coat with lapels and not a Peter Pan collar.

That is a great, great scarf. (and a particularly crisp photo, too!)

That link to the pattern didn't work for me, anyone else get it to work?

I have some manos that I got for a scarf... now I don't know whether to use this pattern, the so-called scarf pattern, or the simple one that the Yarn Harlot posted recently. Hmmm.... decisions!

Seems like I can't get enough of scarves this year.  I love yours - beautiful combination of yarn and stitch pattern.  Thanks for the link as well.

Thanks so much everyone for the awesome comments! Smiley

For those that asked -
+ two skeins of manos were used...
+ the camera is a Canon 20d (pricey but worth it)
+ I think I actually got the coat at Sears on clearance like 2 years ago... and always get compliments on it Smiley
