Miniskirt, knitted then felted, in R2 fuzzi felt in cream. I made it in May but it's only just become cold enough to wear. Pattern is from R2 issue 2 but modified a lot.

The photos are clickable! Click to go to the relative page on Flickr.

Beret knitted in Lamb's Pride Worsted in raspberry. Pattern is from Rowan 29.

Button cute!

The skirt is dead cute. But isn't the R2 discontinued?

Thank you for all your compliments. I've been wearing the hat every day to school, and I'm hoping to get a lot of use out of the skirt - though unfortunately this is the only outfit I can put together with it! I think I need more tops.

It's based on the skirt in R2 Issue 2, which was published by Rowan but now the whole R2 line has been discontinued (you should be able to find it online or on Ebay though). I however made a lot of alterations; for example, making it longer, changing the construction and omitting two of the eyelet pannels.

Felted, you say? That's pretty interesting. I've never heard of a felted skirt. Your mirror is pretty cool, too.

The yarn is only about 30% animal fibre, so they felt and the rest stays normal. Therefore it looks like knitting still, but with a different texture.

And the mirror is Ikea. Again, on the cheap.
