UPDATE BELOW - Just new picture here to tempt you all in with a new thumbnail

It has been suggested that I start a thread for my inchie experimentations so I can update with new pics when available.

Backgrounds are childrens watercolours which are too chalky but I was eager to play the other night. Leaves were drawn onto a page from the hobbit and coloured with watercolour pencil.

I've also started some better backgrounds for pink and purple inchies which I would like to frame as a set for my sister for christmas.

So I needed to make a birthday card to send to my dad and thought, "hey, play with inchies AND make card" and this is what came of it.

First I went nuts with watercolours on a piece of paper

and allowed it to dry then attacked it with my 1 inch square punch for backrounds aiming for the spots with interesting colour transitions. Then I attacked the remains with anything in my punch box. A little glue and highlights in silver and they were mounted into 1 1/4 inch white matts and put onto a 6x6 card.

It will be winging its way to California, USA shortly.

So I decided to use my new found inchie enthusiasm to make a christmas gift for my sister. I am doing a huge pile of framed inchies. It should finish at 9x9 in a 12x12 frame with slight separation between the inchies.

The colour scheme is Pink/purple (like her room) with yellow highlights. Black and white are unavoidable really.

So far I have managed 45 and wanted to share them all with you. Some are very simple, rather formulaic and uninspired and so a few may not make the final cut but some I am immensely pleased with.

This is the whole bunch

and these are a little closer up. My fave are the last 11 which I did this evening.

There are very definate little families which have been done using colour variations of the same but they will all be very jumbled up so it will be like a game of matching pairs.

Spot the Phizzychick inspired ones!
