Hey, I'm sorry if this isn't what this forum is for, but, can someone refer me to a website that explains knit-speak?

so far, all i've been able to do is knit scarves, which is nice, but, i look at all the amazing patterns on this site and I really wish I understood how to like, knit sleeves and gloves and things.

thanks so much!

(p.s. by 'knit-speak' i mean like "C/O 82 K 54 P 54 etc etc")

(p.p.s i know the above knit-speak means cast-on eighty-two, knit fifty-four, purl fifty-four, but, that's about all i know about i don't even know how to purl!  Huh)

thanks again!

http://www.knittinghelp.com/ was and continues to be such a big help to me. Not only does the glossary demystify those terms, but there are videos to help you figure out how to do some stitches, check it out. Its free.

I'm terrible on weekends!  I sit in front of the laptop and knit, waiting until I finish a row to compulsively check what other people are doing!  Sad, I know.
