Anyone know where I can find base metal (read: cheap) bezel cups/closed-in-the-back pendant holders with rings or bails attached? Like, metal pendant blanks? I want to make pendants filled with resin, like this one I made last week:

The specific brand I normally use is made by Sulyn (http://www.sulyn.com) (The bail doesn't come with it, but you can see it has a ring on top.) My local source for these is constantly out of stock, and the only online source I've found sells them for $3.99 each. Which is ridiculous, since my local store's cost is $1.49.

I prefer silver tone, but at this point I'm willing to try anything!

Have you tried asking your local store to stock more, or place an order for you? Some do that so it may be worth a shot.

I buy sterling silver pendant blanks (for resin photo pendants) from here:

http://polymerclayexpress.com/findings.html

Just scroll down & you'll see the whole lot of them in all kinds of shapes & sizes.  They have great customer service & ship fast too.  I like them because they're a really clean, modern design so it doesn't take away from whatever you put inside.

Hope that helps!  Smiley

That's a pretty good size finding.  I get a lot of my fun findings from AccessoriesSusan (first link).  She has a wide variety of findings in 3 different finishes, silver ox, brass ox and copper ox.  Her prices are reasonable and customer service is great.  She is quick to respond to questions and has very reasonable shipping rates.

The second link is for a search of settings with silver ox finish.  Links 3 & 4 are for specific settings.  Looking at the picture I would guess the pendant is around 40mm.  Most of hers that large are oval.

The last 2 links are for websites with similar style findings but I've never ordered from either so I cant say what the quality or service is like.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Those links are over a year old.  Accessories Susan has a new website.  You can search the store here http://stores.channeladvisor.com/accessoriessusan/

Jan's Jewels may not carry them anymore since its been over a year.

You may also try searching http://www.metalliferous.com/  they carry a large variety of base metal findings and so does http://www.rings-things.com/index.html
