I made this journal for a girlfriend of mine.  I wanted to try the black and white transfer techinique with packing tape for the front.  The initial card is from a deck I picked up out and about...who knows where.  It was an alphabet deck set of cards.

The butterfly on the twine is actually a VERY small journal itself.
Those were interesting to make.  And the feather I picked up one day while out at the barn visiting my horses.

She really like the journal and I had fun making it for her.

How is your journal bound?

It is very pretty.

Two holes is all.  I used plain jute rope, cut it to give a tight closure and then tied a knot.  I then used the same rope and wrapped it around the knot so it would not be as obvious. Just cut a piece of it and attached the trinkets to it as well.

Thank you for the compliment.
