Last winter, a friend of mine had a party.. this is not my point... a girl at said party put on the most amazing sweater before she left.  it had one sleve and then wrapped over her shoulder and down her front. i loved it... but couldn't catch her to ask where she bought it/ found the pattern....

if anyone has any idea what i am talking about.. which is saying a lot, since i am vague... please let me know where to find a pattern online or in a book..

i think the beauty of the sweater is obvious because its almost been a year, and i am still drooling!

IT sounds really cool, but I can't quite picture it--could you find a picture or do a litle sketch?

Sounds like it's half shrug and half shawl?  Very nifty and ultra-couture sounding.

I've heard of this, it's crocheted and there isn't a picture. Frustrating I know, but maybe there is a variation of this out there.

That's pretty cool - although I'd make it backwards so that my right arm was the one with more freedom!

I found this sweater here
http://www.rebecca-online.com/en/anleit/heft_26_anl_18-19.pdf
You can't really tell from the foto, but part of the sweater is removable so that it only has one sleeve.  I think this pattern is really innovative I'm planning on making on for myself.

If that link doesn't work, just go to rebecca-online.com and it's the two-part sweater under the patterns section.
