Hi there...

Ok so I'm not sure if this really counts, but I hope it sort of does.
My USB stick is too fiddley to be covered (it has those removable card thingers)...but my MP3 player is also a USB type device, AND it keeps freezing on me in the cold cold winters (-40C yesterday! *shudder*) so I thought I'd join in with my Captain Jack Mp3 cover.

Voila...not very creative, but fun I think. Smiley

my BF recently lost the little plastic cover thingie that goes on the business end of the stick. I wanted to make a cover for the drive but I'm worried about little things getting in there. All the employees at the local comp stores are dorks and tell me no one makes replacement cover things. Which seems like something they should make. Is this not an essiental piece? Can anyone think of a crafty way to make a new one? or something to perhaps serve it purpose?

I loved this thread forever ago and it took me this long to find a plush animal i liked.  And boy, did I score-- 24cent squid at Ikea (I wish there was one where I lived, that store rocks).  Ok, here it is (I kept the ribbon I was using on it previously as i thought it resembled ink)

and here she is, attached:

Thanks for looking, and for the inspiration.

I don't think you really need one. I've had my usb stick for years hanging on my key chain without it's cover and it's been fine. My bf put his through the wash and it still worked fine afterwards. If dust gets in there, just blow it out.

I like the octopus one! I have a similar one from ikea but it's blue. Maybe i'll make one for myself. =)

Thanks. Hot glue, Dremel tool, small screwdriver, drill (for rivets), flash drives, matchbox cars, and free time. Those are my ingredients for these kick ass mods. Enjoy. And yes, private swaps are available.
