I was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion for a book or website where i can find info on stuffed animal construction.I eventually want to make my own patterns but I need somwhere to start-I'm trying to make them up on my own but they definately are not turning out. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for your ideas so far. I'm interested in all different types of stuffed animals-anything unique and from any culture. Asian type books are interesting and art dolls/animals.

Also does anyone know what cloth they put over the polymer clay faces or how they attatch the polymer clay face to the body? Thanks:)

Thank you mustang 7 Smiley

What type of books are you interested in specifically?  Regular USA type books, Asian books, for ragdolls, mascots?  There are several different sources for books, but it would be helpful with alittle more specifics.

Here are some sites I've found helpful and great for free patterns:
http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/ - this site has some really easy animals to make.

http://www.clothdollconnection.com/ - This site has been posted several times and is another good source for freebies.

Hope some of these help.  Hugs!!   Grin

There are some good deals on old books on ebay. The Splendid soft toy book is good and there are many others from the 70s that have good info.

Cheesy  Take a look at the original topic I started about YES ASIA.  I've posted a couple of links there that will take you directly to the "crafts" section of the website for the Japanese and Chinese/Taiwan section of books.  Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need further assistance.  Hugs!!   Shocked
