A good friend of mine is having a baby boy in February. She loved the blanket I made for another friend's baby girl and asked if I'd make her one too. Sure, of course! I asked if she had specific colors in mind and they decided to go with a Safari or Golf theme for the baby's room. ooooh kay...... That makes finding yarn a bit more difficult! While I'm not too keen on the colors for a baby, they are what she wanted. I ended up using worsted weight yarn from TLC. Which is actually okay, because they have travertine floors, so a nice thick blanket would be nice under the baby. It was worked in 5 long panels which were then whipstitched together. I then worked the edging. Enjoy!!!

that came out great. the colors do look nice together. it's non-traditional for a baby, but there's nothing wrong with that! it looks really nice just the way it is. i really like the edging on it too.

I love that!  The colors are gorgeous together.  Not something I would have picked for a baby but since it's not me having the baby, I don't get a say.  Golf themed baby room???  Hmmm...

i prefer knitting, but since i already have 3 projects on my needles, i figured i'd whip up some crochet. it'd been a long time and it's sooo much faster!
