okay...so...the first thing i ever finished knitting...this white beanie with lace stuff. this was also my first lace attempt. i was pretty proud of myself!!!



then, of course....my boyfriend wanted to know why he, too, wasn't getting a beanie...so i took him to hobby lobby and let him pick out his own yarn...then i made him this. he wanted a "skull cap" (i hate that phrase!) so yah...here it is...he lives three hours from me...so i can't show you a picture with him wearing it. lol.



so yah..i hope you guys can see these pics....tell me what you think!!

I just made my first hat, and I was surprised at how easy dpns were to use (I was terrified of them for no reason!).

haha oh i know! i was scared of them too! i still hate them though. lol. it's so annoying when there's like a million points sticking out everywhere. lol. at least i'm no longer frightened

haha aww a bookmark! you should try a hat. they are really easy. i thought i would try one and end up crying. but, no, they aren't difficult at all

i'm planning on teaching myself to knit soon and i want to start with a scarf and hat combo. i'm really glad you didn't find it too difficult. both your hats look wonderful! great job!
