hm...I hope this is the right board to post this in  Embarrassed

this is a votive holder that I used etching cream on...

from the front:


and if you turn it towards the wall this is what you get:


If I had to do it again I would choose a holder that wasn't curved - that was pretty tricky to maneuver.

Thats awesome!  I'm very impressed as someone who always has thought about trying to figure out etching, yet never found the time, money or courage. lol

Thanks everyone! I bought my etching cream at ac moore and it was a smaller bottle for about $8-9 - so it does run a little on the pricey side - you just have to save up those craft store coupons.  Cheesy  It's a lot of fun though - I really love the results you can get.
