Wow, it's been a while since I've done any crafting! So I thouroughly enjoyed working on my Halloween costume.

Here I am, modelling my Mother Nature ensemble...I made the whole thing today, so there was definitely no time to sew. Instead, I borrowed my sister's nightgown  Grin

The accesories I made to go with:

Close-up of wand, and a segment of belt:

Me, wearing my crown and very satisfied with the days work!:

I'm still working on a few things...Going to get some "viney stuff" and make wrist cuffs instead of bracelets. Should I do some kind of painting/drawing on my arms, or is that too much?? What about footwear? And I'm also looking for a clever way to attach some kind of "pet", preferably a squirrel.

Any advice or comments appreciated!!!

I think drawing on your arms would be cool.  I once helped a friend dress up like a dryad, and painted viny patterns with leaves all up her arms, and it looked really good.  I don't think there can be "too much" in a mother nature costume!

Also, I your crown is awesome!  I love the use of the acorns!

Thank you!! I just did it and I'm pretty much in love with it...

also, thanks for the comments on my costume!  Wink hehe. Today I was out shopping and went into my usual right-before-halloween panic..tried on a zillion different costumes and *still* ended up with just my homemade one. What a silly girl....

"one size fits all" costumes SUCK.

I assumed your dress would be green, and I like that it isn't. Looks great!

What a great idea for a costume - it looks really nice - and you won't be one of 50 people all wearing the same thing!

I second what everyone else said - viney arm paint, and maybe even on your legs too?  You could even get fabric markers and do the vines on tights to keep warm.  Or, you could get ribbons and do lacing/grecian type ties winding up your legs, and decorate them however.  And I love your hair too!  Great work!
