okay, so here's the deal...i have this small(and by small i mean huge) obsession with apples...apples prints, apple colors...haha. anything apple. well....lately i've been on a beanie-making spree and i thought to myself....wow a beanie with apples along the bottom...or just all over....would be insanely cute.

so can anyone help with ideas? as in...do you know where i could find an apple pattern for knitting that's cute? i could probably come up with my own...but it's just...easier..to follow a pattern someone's already made.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

****EDIT****

okay...so...thanks so much everyone for helping me find a pttern. i ended up just making my own...but i'm having a problem!

okay...see by my fingers where there are holes? i can't figure out why those are happening. the apple's kind of too wide to just carry the white yarn behind it...so i was using two skeins of white..one for each side....but it's making spaces like the ones in the picture. and i dont know what to do!! can someone help me?

oh yah..here's the pattern i made...if anyone wants to try it to see if the same thing happens to them...maybe you could tell me if something's wrong with the pattern?

Hi there,

This is a crochet pattern chart and it might be too complicated to fit on a beanie, but here you go:

http://www.angelscrochet.com/charts/apple.php

Here's a pattern for some felted apples (not relevant, but very cute!):

Good luck!

thank you so much!! yah that crochet apple looks like it probably wouldnt fit on a beanie...and i don't really like to crochet hats...but...i'll see what i can...if anything, i can use it as a guideline to make my own chart.
and those felted apples are soooo cute! i'm definitely going to try those

i believe in the book knitting on the edge by nicky epstien has a colorwork pattren for apples. that you could do as a fair isle around the bottom of a hat

I know there is a knitting book at Barnes and Noble (unfortunately I do not remember the title of the book) that has a pattern for an apple cozy... you slip it over your apples so they wont get dinged up in your purse, bag, or whathaveyou.  Maybe you could modify that?

An adult version of that hat would be cute for Halloween. Or whenever, if you're brave. Wink

Somewhere recently I saw a crocheted apple...washcloth maybe? It was in the shape of an apple and the cutest thing ever. I want that pattern!
