you can also use shrink plastic to design your own, they turn out thick but work great for lead guitar. the clear plastic discs that come on the top and bottom of a spindle of dvds works well to design thinner ones.

neato idea! I've saved several of those waiting for the day when I would have inspiration to do something with them...

Creative thinking may mean simply the realization that theres no particular virtue in doing things the way they always have been done.

Thank you so much for posting this, it rules. I have a plethora of old library cards and whatnot, and even an old bank card, which would be awesome for this...

The tin is sweet, too! I think I am going to make this for my friend in a band.

Here is my shot at this.  I used gift cards instead.  They are much thicker and better design.

I love this idea so much I'm going to make them even though I don't know anyone who plays the guitar!

reese52- I love your presentation of the picks! What a neat way to give them! And, I've been eyeing gift cards at stores trying to figure out to get them out of the store without actually putting funds on them! Smiley

Just go to a store you would normally shop.  Buy the gift card for yourself and use it for necessities.  I love target and the dog was a cute pic and just the right size.  The tie dye was from Wal-Mart.
