I'm halfway through and have taken a break to make some fingerless gloves as my Dad's chrissy pressie.  Oh, and the Free People shawl everyone was talking about (mental note: post pic).  But I should be off again soon!  I have plans to knit on the plane on the way to Australia, just because I have my Denise needles and I can!

I got really upset though when I went to the yarn store in the weekend and found the exact colour I *wanted* to make it from... a lovely bright green.  Oh well.

Ok, me again with yet another problem. Finally figured out the dyo, yay! But when I bound off the back piece, I realized it was HUGE. Like, it could wrap all the way around me.  Undecided  And it was really...holey? Like not tightly knit or something? Am I just knitting too loose or does it sound like I am doing something wrong? Please help, I need to finish this by Saturday. Thanks!

I have been very slow to post this.

here are a couple of pictures of my finished belle star. I've found that I am wearing it quite a bit.

I'd do another one. It was pretty fun and pretty fast.

Hi ALL!  Grin I'm REALLY interested in making this Belle Star Pattern, I only have two questions to ask...Would it be possible to substitute the D.B. Cotton/Cashmere FOR DK weight cotton/acrylic yarn? Would it be a problem to work with it in this pattern?  Huh

I'm using DK weight cotton and it's fine.  Guage is perfect and everything.  In fact, I'm almost (finally!) finished.  Stuff got in the way like making xmas pressies, and studying for the Bar...

I got some yarn in the sales that I hope will guage up right for this, so I'm glad someone else is starting this one late Cheesy  Hoorah!  Just have to finish a scarf off first that is a delayed Christmas gift and then I'll join you with luck Grin

Cool!  That really suits you Smiley  This one is much more interesting than the bog standard ponchos.  How long did it take to knit up?
