Yikes, if you haven't come through yet, I would suggest the art gallery area up around 18th street. Birdies and Spool are there, as is Hammerpress and some great restaurants.

Birdies - more info
116 W 18th St, Kansas City, MO
(816) 842-2473

Spool is right next door and Hammerpress is just around the corner and a block south. The Plaza is further south and it has the high end shops ala Armani and Anthropologie as well as the pricey restaurants and there's a Barnes and Noble there, too. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (http://www.nelson-atkins.org/) just reopened their front lawn and the Kemper art gallery is pretty close by. If you want directions or anything, just PM me.

LOL Why create a new topic? I'll be heading through Kansas City myself, around July 7th or so, on my way home to Atlanta from Denver. Any new suggestions?

Primary interests: fiber, scrapbooking, quilting (I love fabric to cover my handmade books), paper arts

Thanks for any advice.
