I made this hat for a girl who my boyfriend and I are taking the lease over for.  She's moving to have her baby near her parents, and I thought it would be a nice parting gift.  It's merino and nice and soft and cuddly.  Cheesy
The empty Choxie container is for form, hand for scale.

Close up.

I used a couple knitting patterns as a guide, basically just for the decrease form, but winged it from there (though, I did steal the seed stitch on the edge from SnB).  I have a tendency to knit way smaller than gauge, and so it was pretty much just guess-n-check while I was making it.  I think it came out well, though I have problems with loose stitches when I use dpns.  I also just hand-washed it, and it stretched out a bit.  I kind of lumped back into its smaller size to dry, but does anyone have any advice about this?  I've had this problem before, where I wash something and it stretches way out.  Is it possible to get things back into (smaller) shape after this happens?
Thanks, guys!

It's so classic! Lucky Baby.

I've heard it both ways.

I'm looking to swap some knit &/or crocheted crafts for handmade CP/HP soap.
